Unseasonal rains over the past three days in Delhi ruined Kolkata - Delhi game. The match
against the Delhi Daredevils to be abandoned without a ball being
bowled.
The Kolkata Knight Riders became the third team to be eliminated from
the race for a semi-final spot. The result was good news for the Kings XI Punjab, as it
guarantees them a berth in the final four.
Kings XI Punjab 144 for 1 (Marsh 74*) beat Bangalore Royal Challengers 143 for 8 by nine wickets
While Bangalore Royal Challengers' IPL woes contiune, Kings XI Punjab cruised through an easy victory - crushing Bangalore by 9 wickets with 4.2 overs to spare.
Off-field controversies plagued the bottom-placed Challengers going into the
match against Kings XI, and a nine-wicket mauling in Mohali
leaves the second-most expensive franchise in the IPL all but out of
the semi-finals.
Batting first, Bangalore limped to 143, and Shaun Marsh's unbeaten 74 helped Punjab hunt it down. Struggling with their batting, Challengers were never ever able to recover and do a good job.
