India Australia First Test: Number Game

October 12, 2008 by Kuldip

First Test between India and Australia is on its fifth and final day. I have no idea if it would result in a draw or some result. My guess would be a draw. But I do have observed one thing which might interest numerologists and statisticians.

And that is both the teams got out at even numbers in their first innings. Isn't that surprising? Australia scored an even 430 runs for all out. India followed, struggled  to score an even 360 runs for all out. Is that a coincidence or is it some food for thought for the numerologists? To me, it is just an interesting pair of numbers.

Statisticians, what do you have to say?
