The two semi finals poured water on the excitment that IPL carried thourgh out the season. Personally, I am not even excited for the finals after watching Semi-Finals that were completely one sided from the word go and there was no contest at all. Chennai Super Kings cruised into finals by crushing Kings XI Punjab with bowling. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals knocked out Delhi with their batting and that makes finals a bit interesting.
Rajasthan Royals who started as underdogs, grew into a major force in the IPL losing only three of games during the season. Where as Chennai SuperKings started as hot favorites, with Dhoni in the side, along with Knight Riders. Rajasthan Royals are favorites for this game but as many say Dhoni has luck going his way and that might help him today as well to upset few bookies and Rajasthan Royals supporters. Dhoni could make a difference with his shrewed captaincy.
Kings XI Punjab's top order blasted their way to 221 for 3 against Rajasthan Royals. This has been highest score by Punjab, that too in their final game.
Shaun Marsh led the way for Punjab with a 69-ball 115, James Hopes' 51
provided him support in a century stand, before Yuvraj Singh finally
found his rhythm with a blistering 49 off only 16 balls.
In a dramatic move, King Khan was denied access to player's dug out area. Shah Rukh Khan is the part owner of Kolkata Knight Riders along with Juhi Chawla and her husband.
In the dejection of defeat or
the euphoria of joy, ‘King Khan’ has never been too far
away.
He is very energetic and enthusiastic. He loves to spend time with his team and motivate them to to win the games.
On Sunday, he was told to keep a ‘safe distance’
from his team. The Anti-Corruption Unit of the ICC has asked the KKR owner that
he should not be in the player’s dressing room or their dugout just beyond
the boundary. ‘‘I’ve been told it’s got something to do
with ICC’s code of conduct,’’ SRK himself informed on Sunday
evening in response to a question during a media conference.
‘‘I’ve been made to believe it’s anti
anti-corruption.’’
