India Packed and All Out for 76

April 04, 2008 by Lara Brian

Nothing can be more embarrassing for India than the 1st day of 2nd test match with South Africa. Playing at Motera, Ahmedabad, SA packed their bags for paltry score of 76 all out. Though I am not a statistician, I think, this is the lowest score by side in an international test match.

Skipper Anil Kumble's decision to bat first backfired as South African pacers made the best out of the tinge of grass and the morning dew to floor the Indians in just 20 overs.

Now, a days, teams score much higher scores in 2020 than 76 all out.

There is not doubt that India will have a Herculean task  to come back into the match, with SA already at 223/2 om day 2.
